Bluey the Drippy Whale. Original Oil Painting. 23 × 23cm
Bluey the Drippy Whale. Original Oil Painting. 23 × 23cm
This painting is a playful little blue whale, with drips running through the surface and giving it a loose, expressive feel.
I wanted this piece to feel fun and full of character, while still holding that quiet beauty I always find in whales. The drips add movement and softness, almost as if the whale is emerging through water and paint at the same time. There is something a little whimsical about him, which is where the name came from.
